12-week Web Development Bootcamp

Black Boys Code is partnering with Lighthouse Labs to deliver an ongoing series of 12-week Web Development Bootcamps for this pilot project. Students will learn about various aspects of web development, including data modelling, software architecture, and modern web development frameworks. At the end of this full-time program, graduates will be rewarded with an industry-recognized diploma, and employment support for a career in website development.

Black Boys Code is launching an exciting new pilot project to equip Black youth in Ontario (age 18 - 29) with the education and technical training needed to become a professional web developer!

Web Developers are one of the most in-demand roles in tech, and have great income-earning potential. If you’ve been considering a career as a web developer, this may be the right opportunity for you! 

Take our 12-week Web Development Bootcamp and get the technical training to start a new career. Full scholarships available for Black youths (age 18 - 29) in Ontario.

HTML And CSS are the building blocks of website development. 

You'll learn to create responsive UIs for web apps, and other web design fundamentals.

You'll also learn Database modelling, software architecture, and much more!

  • 40 hours a week of full-time instruction over 12 weekstaught by professional developers and instructors 

  • Career Services including career coaching, interview and resume prep, networking opportunities, and employer outreach. 

  • 85% of previous job-seeking grads from this bootcamp have successful obtained employment.

Step 1: Sign up for Intro to HTML Workshop

This initiative is made possible with generous funding from the government of Ontario

  • Individuals Who Are Unemployed/ Underemployed

  • Interested In Pursuing A Career In Web Development

Step 2: Select students will be invited to apply to the Black Youth Reskilling Pilot Project

85% of applicants find employment!


This intensive and comprehensive bootcamp normally has a program fee of $13,000. However, due to generous funding from the Government of Ontario, we are able to offer full scholarships for 200 students to participate in this program over the next year.  

In order to assess commitment and aptitude of applications for this programthose interested must first participate in a complimentary “Introduction to HTML/CSS workshop.

Upon displaying technical aptitude and dedication, some students from the Intro workshop will be invited to go through an assessment process for the Black Youth Reskilling Pilot Project, and successful applicants will receive a full scholarship to participate in the web development bootcamp.
